5 minutes of Camp...

LI: To recount a 5 minute snapshot of one experience you had at camp

The amazing day of camp.

We were taking the kayaks through the river. We had two people carrying one kayak and as we carried the first one we ran back to get the other kayaks. Then we slowly lowered the kayaks in the water then I  paddled away.

After that we played a tag and during the game I was the tagger and I reached through with my paddle to tag some one ‘SPLASH’ I fell in in the water but luckily I had a lifejacket so I was floating. The water was freezing cold I thought there was a creature hiding 19 meter down at the bottom of the water. The instructor flipped my kayak and I climbed back on. I was completely soaked when I got back on.

After we finished kayaking we had to get in the water so we could lift the kayak off the water without scratching it. My shoes were wet, my socks were wet, all my clothes were wet. We left the kayaks near the water on the grass so the next group could go and have a turn on the kayaks.

At the end of the day I knew for a fact that I had a lot of fun the activity I had done. Gained new experience and learned to get along with people you normally don't work with as well.

Last week we went to camp at Kokako Lodge. My 5 minute snapshot shows my personal voice and I have tried hard to paint a picture with my words to describe what I was doing and how I felt.
